This is a picture book about a girl and one of her parents. The two of them wait for the Daddies Boat to come in every Friday afternoon. The story chronicles their carefree life at the beach house while they wait for the other parent to return. They play cards together, make picnics, and eat ice cream. Every night before bed, bedtime stories are read to the little girl. Then, before the Daddies Boat comes, they go grocery shopping for a special welcome home dinner. The story has a delightful surprise ending that kids will love!
