This book is a compelling ride for all to appreciate.

Alex is only 17 years old, but like it or not, he’s the man of the house now. He takes care of his sisters Bri, who is 15 and Julie who is 12 by making sure they have what they need to survive. He confides in the priests of his Catholic school, and relies on the lunch the school provides for him and his sisters. Though prospects are grim, Alex perseveres and does the best he can to provide for his family.
